My concerns about the overall state of society are troubling me. The future seems dazzling in perplexity and I feel like our technological civilization is heading towards a major apex, where ubiquitous technology becomes extremely distractive from gratuitous levels of invasive advertising and commercialism; I feel like as we deplete more resources from our incessant greed, environmental degradation will become so severe that not only will it inflate the price of ordinary commodities as our limited reservoir of natural capital diminishes, it will harm the sustainability of our society. I'm worried that human nature has an evolutionary imperative to ignore the future impact our rampant consumerism is having on society . When resource depletion becomes so universal and so widespread, I'm afraid destruction of our environment will induce societal breakdown and our system of capitalism and democracy- economic and political systems that humans have enshrined as liberal values, will...

Big Pharma's sinister collusion with Government.

I personally think that pharmaceutical corporations are working together with state provided psychiatric institutions for economic exploitation of patients to drain money from their public insurance providers. Most psychiatric patients receive Medicaid due to their mental incapacity to engage in consistent work, as many studies detail the vast unemployment that is common among the mentally ill. I for one have been a victim of the entire mental healthcare system, as I was erroneously diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and multiple psychotic disorders after I was removed from my mother's household following her improper parental style. My first diagnosis as a child was Autism, which I believe I have. After being removed from my mother's household and moved to a group home, I was falsely diagnosed with other psychological disorders, like Oppositional Defiant Disorder, which is ridiculous considering I was very agreeable as a child, and wrongly prescribed psychiatric ...

The idiocy of pro-lifers

Anti-abortion activists, also known as pro-lifers, are some of the most vacuously uneducated people on this planet because of their refusal to accept rational argumentation from pro-choicers and to understand that their religious convictions creates more misfortune for mothers and children. Pro-lifers' anti-abortion stance is erroneously based on their misinterpretation of the whims and desires of an obviously malicious being, whose sole desire is to be incessantly adulated by his followers without consideration of humanity's welfare. If God was truly pro-life, why does he continuously support the slaughtering of pregnant women throughout the barbaric scribbles of the Bible, and why does he encourage egregious behavior among the Hebrews? Why does he demand that children from Canaanite and Philistine villages be entirely slaughtered without consideration of allowing the Hebrews to evangelize these impressionable children? Instead of allowing Canaanite children, or babie...

Why Income Inequality is insidious.

Income inequality is a disparity of wealth between the rich and the poor. Income inequality can be a good thing, as it incentivizes laborious work and compels people to achieve success. However, if income inequality becomes too unequal, it creates a negative influence on societal health- as myriad studies show that higher income disparities creates an environment in which plutocratic control of the market becomes common, and government favoritism towards currently bloated monopolies becomes the norm. Democracy is destroyed and Plutocracy becomes the new political system. Many of these monopolistic corporations rely on machiavellian lobbyists and patent trolls to curtail competition from underdog businesses. Because of this monopolistic environment, newbie inventors are deprived of any recognition for their creativity as corporations can utilize organized racketeers to intimidate potential inventors who will contribute much progress to society. Just watch this clip from the ...

Why Trump's anti-free trade stance is bad for America's economy and the danger behind right wing populism.

Donald Trump is notorious for his anti-free trade stance and his opposition to free trade agreements between other countries. Even though I find major fault with the TPP, since it's essentially crony corporatism in a faux trade agreement, Trump's contempt for free trade is vacuously based on silly assumptions. Most of the last 300 years of exponential economic progress which the world has overwhelmingly experienced was based on our growing acceptance of free trade as mercantilism became unpopular when most intellectuals realized the problems associated with protectionism. When Adam Smith promoted a spontaneous order through open markets with his publication, Wealth of the Nations, it paved and established the impetus necessary for industrial expansion and the myriad progress humanity has witnessed. Thanks to open trade, the world revolutionized new ways of bettering the planet. The Commercial Revolution in the late 1600s was just one example of how free trade benefits...
