Crazy politics

My concerns about the overall state of society are troubling me. The future seems dazzling in perplexity and I feel like our technological civilization is heading towards a major apex, where ubiquitous technology becomes extremely distractive from gratuitous levels of invasive advertising and commercialism; I feel like as we deplete more resources from our incessant greed, environmental degradation will become so severe that not only will it inflate the price of ordinary commodities as our limited reservoir of natural capital diminishes, it will harm the sustainability of our society. I'm worried that human nature has an evolutionary imperative to ignore the future impact our rampant consumerism is having on society . When resource depletion becomes so universal and so widespread, I'm afraid destruction of our environment will induce societal breakdown and our system of capitalism and democracy- economic and political systems that humans have enshrined as liberal values, will...
